OK, we actually don't have that many. There's nothing more annoying than seeing that line boasting how many songs the DJ has in their library. Does it really matter how many songs a DJ has? Let's put it in perspective. By looking at the following exchange:
The bottom line is that you need a good variety of hits at the wedding plus the music planned for with the bride and groom before the wedding. The hits should range from Big Band, to disco, to current hits and Latin music, but boasting about the number of songs you have at your disposal is like telling people, "I have a lot of crappy songs that I should never play." Wedding Guest: "Hey DJ! Do you have 'Sweet Sixteen' by Billy Idol? That's my mom's favorite."
(Me Thinking: "Of course I do. I have 10,000,000,000 songs in my database, and 'Sweet Sixteen' was a Top-40 hit for Idol...but who in this world is going to dance to that? It's going to kill the mood.")
Me: No. I'm sorry. How about 'Mony Mony', 'Rebel Yell', or 'Dancing With Myself'? Go ask your mom which one she wants.
